In a significant development for the film industry, Ana de Armas is confirmed to star as Emma Kent in 'Sweat,' a new movie helmed by British director J Blakeson, renowned for 'I Care a Lot.' The story centers on Kent, a fitness influencer determined to emulate her idol, Kat Highbrook. However, a fateful meeting with Highbrook irrevocably alters Kent's trajectory, propelling her into a perilous association with Trent, a fan whose extreme devotion forces Kent to confront the true cost of her celebrity ambitions. This English-language remake draws inspiration from Magnus von Horn's critically acclaimed 2020 Polish feature of the identical title, which earned recognition at Cannes.
