Previously, it was announced that John Carney’s musical-comedy 'Power Ballad,' featuring Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd, would serve as the closing film for Dublin 2026. The festival also boasts world premieres for several Irish productions, including Morgan Matthews’ '500 Miles,' starring Bill Nighy, Clare Dunne, and Maisie Williams; Stephen Warbeck and John-Paul Davidson’s 'The Three Urns,' featuring Ciarán Hinds; Brendan Muldowney’s 'One Last Deal,' with Danny Dyer; and Ciaran Creagh’s 'Samanta Nobody.' Additionally, Irish documentaries, such as those focusing on artist Guggi and actor Colin Farrell in 'The Slightest Touch,' will debut.
Special screenings are planned to showcase more renowned names, including 'Everybody Digs Bill Evans' starring Bill Pullman, 'The Lightkeeper' with Dominic Cooper, 'Gorky Resort' featuring Aidan Gillen, 'The Restoration at Grayson Manor' with Chris Colfer, and 'No Ordinary Heist' featuring Eddie Marsan and Éanna Hardwicke. This year, Switzerland is the 'Country in Focus,' offering a retrospective of filmmaker Lionel Baier.
