Among the top performers, Jared Corsair from Tenafly, a senior midfielder, was instrumental in his team's three consecutive victories, netting two goals and assisting eight others, while dominating face-offs and ground balls. Max Kim, a senior midfielder for Bergen Tech, had an explosive start, achieving personal bests with eight goals and 10 points in one game, followed by a strong showing of three goals and four assists in another. Jonathan Shnaper, Saddle Brook's junior goalie, exhibited remarkable defensive prowess, making 19 saves out of 24 shots in two wins. Liam Tisi, a senior midfielder from Westwood, stepped up to lead his team to three straight wins with 10 goals and three assists, showcasing his critical role in their comeback. On the girls' side, Tessa Davidson, a senior midfielder for Rutherford, displayed an all-around game with seven goals, two assists, 10 face-off wins, and eight ground balls. Kaylee Linnehan, Emerson/Park Ridge's junior goalie, was crucial in her team's season-opening victory by stopping 12 of 18 shots. Grace Sullivan, a senior midfielder from Ridgewood, reached a significant milestone by scoring her 100th career goal and contributing five goals, four draw controls, and two forced turnovers in her first game. Lastly, Erica Vazquez, a senior midfielder for Paramus Catholic, surpassed 200 career points in her season opener, ultimately tallying 13 goals, five assists, and 18 draw controls in two victories.
