SiriusXM is set to launch a temporary radio channel dedicated to K-pop sensation BTS, coinciding with the group's much-awaited return. The channel will offer an immersive musical experience, featuring their classic hits, solo works, and tracks from their new album, 'Arirang.' Fans will also have the opportunity to hear directly from the members about their creative process and share their own stories.
The dedicated pop-up channel, named BTS Radio, is scheduled to commence on Friday, March 20. It will provide a continuous stream of the group's musical journey, encompassing their most beloved songs, individual member projects, and selections from their latest release. Subscribers can access this exclusive content on channel 79 until March 26, with continued availability on the SiriusXM app through April 18.
Adding to the excitement, the members of BTS—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—will share insights into the creation of their new album, 'Arirang.' This highly anticipated album marks a significant moment for the group, being their first seven-member release in several years, following the completion of their mandatory military service. The group's devoted fanbase, known as ARMY, is encouraged to contribute BTS-related messages and personal anecdotes, some of which may be featured on the channel.
Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer of SiriusXM, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that BTS has profoundly impacted the global music landscape. He highlighted the channel's role in celebrating their comeback and offering fans unparalleled access and exclusive content.
The group's return is further marked by two upcoming Netflix projects. On March 21, Netflix will host a special livestream performance titled 'BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang,' broadcast live from Gwanghwamun in Seoul. This will be the album's first global performance. A week later, on March 27, Netflix will premiere 'BTS: The Return,' an intimate documentary detailing the album's production.
In addition to their new music and Netflix specials, BTS is preparing for an extensive world tour in 2026 and 2027. This tour, which includes stops across Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Australia, is poised to be one of their most expansive to date, with an anticipated 82 shows worldwide. The tour will commence with three nights in Goyang, South Korea, followed by two nights in Tokyo, before moving to the U.S. with a stop in Tampa, Florida, and subsequent dates interspersed across the globe.
The return of BTS with their new album 'Arirang,' coupled with dedicated SiriusXM programming, Netflix content, and a global tour, signifies a vibrant new chapter for the internationally acclaimed K-pop group, reinforcing their monumental influence on the music industry and their connection with fans worldwide.
